Deep Stretch with Tonglen and Gong Savasana

A soothing afternoon to create comfort in the physical body, peace in the energetic body and connection in the spiritual body. 

Deep Stretch
We will practice a 45 minute deep stretch with poses held for 3-5 minutes. The longer holds and deep assists will settle create space to soften the physical body, this will facilitate an opening of the energetic body in preparation for meditation.

Tonglen
tong means “sending out” or “letting go”; len means “receiving” or “accepting.”

Tonglen meditation, the practice of sending and receiving awakens our spirit of compassion, reminds us of our connection to each other and our power to heal.  It introduces us to the unlimited spaciousness of shunyata (a vast emptiness of infinite healing and divine love). By doing the practice, we connect with the open dimension of our being. With each in-breath, we take in others’ pain. With each out-breath, we send them relief.
