Day 7 of Meditate 22 days of self discovery.
Day 7 SELF LOVE! Today take some time to check in to see how you feel about your practice. How is it evolving? Are you meditating everyday? Every other? Please know this is your practice, your ritual, you decide what works for you. This practice is a journey free of judgement, there is no right or wrong, this is about making conscious choices to deepen your unique Sadhana.
Take extra time for you today. What do you love? Do that today.
Today’s Suggestions for Ritual :
  • Self hug: Hold the left shoulder with right arm and right shoulder with left arm pull the fascia of the shoulders down embrace yourself as you are today in this moment.
  • Essential Oil – Console – apply at heart center and throat
  • Dry Brush
  • Breathe { Pranayama below}

Set aside 5-10 minutes to journal whatever comes to your mind.
  • Describe yourself, in a loving way, to a stranger.
  • What’s one choice you can make right now that your future self will thank you for?
  • Going forward, how can you commit to loving yourself every day?
Open the heart chakra with this Heart Opening Pranayama
stimulating and balancing Vyana Vayu (Expanding Wind).
  1. Sit in a comfortable sitting position, Sit tall with a straight spine (pillow or folded blanket underneath sit bones, if necessary, for tight hips)
  2. Brings hands into Anjali mudra (prayer position) into heart center. Think of something you love about yourself, someone you love, or an experience you love or would love. This will start to open your heart energy.
  3. Inhale through the nose as you open the arms out to the side like giving a big hug. As you do this, imagine a color of your choice, swirling from the heart and spiraling out through your fingertips and all around you.
  4. As you exhale, bring the arms back in and hands to prayer position to heart center. Bring in the love and light.
  5. Continue for 10-15 rounds, feeling light and love surround you.
  6. This pranayama will open the heart, help strengthen lungs and circulation, and ease and calm the mind. It also helps reduce stress and depression and, overall, makes you feel good!
